Beauty & Aesthetics VTCT Training Courses

Training Courses Focusing on You

We offer bespoke training courses to suit you. These can be held at one of our clinics around the northwest or in your salon/clinic at a reduced fee.

What makes us different from some other training providers is that you will only pass once you meet our expectations and are confident and competent. This ensures you will maximise your earning potential and client base . For some courses case studies, pre and post study are required.

VTCT are regulated qualifications meaning rules apply to maintain professional requirements. It is part of the assessmnet process and PPE to wear a uniform when carrying out treatments and assessments. Hair must be back off face and trailing jewellery cannot be worn. Nails should be a workable length without decals -ideally natural. Open toe shoes/flipflops cannot be permitted

You can follow these links to purchase a uniform if you wish:  www.scrbhq.co.uk

FAQs

What is the difference between CPD/ABT courses and VTCT

CPD stands for ‘continued professional development’ and there are accredited companies that will verify certs based on this- 2 of which ABT (Associate Beauty Therapists) and CPD excellence.

VTCT /ITEC are QUALIFICATIONS meaning ofqual regulated and in line with government standards . Having these qualifications gives you the right foundations to then progress on to ‘continued professional development’

What are the pre-requisites to get into aesthetics, do I need to be a nurse?

You do not need to be a medical practitioner to progress onto aesthetics (never have and never will) , however you DO need foundation qualifications such as Beauty Therapy level 3. Aesthetics are CPD certs so you need proper foundations.

CPD pathways are not viable as they are not qualifications. There are a few regulated pathways now involving VTCT /ITEC quals that don’t require a FULL level 3 Beauty therapy

Ask us for help!

I’ve been doing beauty for years with CPD type quals, can I just swap these for VTCT

VTCT or any other government awarding organisation will NOT recognise CPD qualifications as RPL (recognising prior learning) this is because they are not regulated qualifications. However you are able to do the vTCT training and if you have been doing the services for a while you have the advantage of being able to get through assessments much quicker.

Why are VTCT qualifications so expensive, I can do the same course through CPD/ABT for about £50

This is because VTCT are QUALIFICATIONS. Prices are capped by VTCT and centres have to pay registrations, exam fees, registration fees, IQA fees (internal quality assurance), EQA fees (external quality assurance), certifications fees . Teachers must have minimum Cert-ed/PGCE and assessessor/verifier qualifications to be able to deliver such courses. This means they have to have gone to university to study to this level of educationThis is to ensure quality, standards and a drive to keep the industry at its best

Do you have government funding?

No, we made the decision not to continue with our application for funding in 2021 because we want to be able to offer a private education experience- teach small numbers or 1:1- be able to offer bespoke learning plans to suit individual learners to make their journey , smooth, enjoyable and memorable within a more appealing timescale.

Are your courses insureable?

Yes VTCT are regulated courses and CPD/ABT are recognised CPD Bodies. We insist that all delegates check insurance before undertaking training as insurer policies can differ particularly in terms of pre requisites. It is not our responsibility if this isn’t checked before training and then insurance is declined

Can I have advise on services ?

Yes, we offer completely free and no obligation consultations, this could be to chat about training or get advise for a potential service. Easily booked through timely
